Hammonasset Beach, VIII
9:30 AMWe always get to the beach ‘early’ enough to avoid some of the crowds, and this day the park would reach it capacity just afternoon and closed.
Of course we brought a big rolling cooler, but forgot to pick up any ice on the way. Luckily, the Camp Store at the end of West Beach sells it, so we took a little walk and picked up a bag for $3.00.
11:15 AMIt was a beautiful day; clear sky and warm water.
Nicole tried-out a fancy new bathing suit. Apparently it doubles as a ‘wetsuit,’ which must be nice.
“I’m inputting this information while sitting comfortably under the umbrella in my ‘beach chair.’ Since the SquareSpace app has minimal options for creating a post and I can see Coley and Ben floating around, I’m going to join them now…”
The miscellaneous pictures that follow were taken over the course of the day. Note: Coley’s new bathing suit; the beach filling up.
“The is no throwing of balls or frisbees in the swimming area.”
The guy in the previous picture knew the rules; flagrant disregard.
The fools in the next collage were causing some mayhem by aggressively riding the personal watercraft inside of the 100’ swimming area buoys. It went on for quite a while but the Harbor Master [or equivalent] eventually showed up to issue a fine.
